In past editions of the festival at the Ragged School,
whenever a piece by Schubert appeared on the program, we were struck by the perfect harmony
between the selfless spirit of the music and the simple grace of the surroundings.

The sense that Schubert’s music truly belonged here inspired us to imagine
a slightly different kind of experience — one that departs from the eclecticism of previous festivals,
yet preserves the lightness of touch, the joy of discovery, and the uncompromising dedication
that lie at the heart of what we aim to do.
